Resume Builder Feature Updates: Enhanced Experience & Education Sections
Posted On: Tuesday, May 12th, 2009 - Posted By: GigTide
We are always striving to make building your resume as easy as possible!
We received some great ideas from our current users and thought we’d say “thanks” by updating the education and experience resume section editors based on their requests. We’ve eliminated much of the wasted space in the user-interface, giving us the ability to refine where buttons are located and providing many updates to the listing features as well. Let us know how we did on these updates — the before and after images are below:

New Online Resume Feature: Employer Mapping
Posted On: Tuesday, May 12th, 2009 - Posted By: GigTide
Updated mapping features have been implemented within GigTide!
As potential employers contact you through the contact form built into your online resume (watch the resume contact form video), you will be able to get a visual view of their location(s). This tool is located under the “Contacts” tab within the application and makes it very easy to see where potential employers are located realtive to your home or other address.
Our mapping features will automatically search on both the company name and the zip code provided by the contact form. It will easily allow you to find multiple locations for one company and view more information on each location. We’ve leveraged the power of Yahoo Maps to give you full control over the map view, zoom level and more.
Do you have other ideas on how you’d like to see us incorporate mapping into your job search or GigTide? Feel free to leave a comment, drop us a quick note on Twitter (@gigtide) or connect with us on Facebook.

This includes all sections and elements, plus a guide showing the separation between the main column and the sidebar. When working with our professional themes, you’ll be able to quickly visualize, drag-and-drop and perfect your resume without having to guess where one section ends and the others begin.
